Here we are in November! Autumn is so beautiful in New Jersey, as you can tell from the above photo, taken by Joseph Shade of Crimrise Photography. Working directly with Joseph for this shoot was an incredible, unforgettable experience. Joseph is professional and inspiring to be around.

Pear Tree — August 2019

I just returned from a trip and am happy to be going on another one soon! Summer has been super; filled with love, friendships, sun, and music. Recently, Next Century Publishing, who published my first two books, “On the Guest List: Adventures of a Music Journalist” and “Love Cats” folded. That means both books are out of print. The good news is, I’m currently shopping “Love Cats” to publish a second edition! “Love Cats” has been a very hot item lately. The Amazon stats jacked up, and I’ve been getting phone calls, “WHERE CAN I GET THE BOOK?”

Unless you want to pay a high amount of money for it, hang tight, because I’m determined to get a second edition out. AND, as always, portions of proceeds will go to various animal groups. By the next edition of Pear Tree, I may have an answer!

Pear Tree August 2018

You can count on Pear Tree for good old fashioned service!

When my husband and I spotted these ancient telephones in Nyack, New York (above), I saw this as an appropriate photo op for Pear Tree Enterprises! I’ve always prided myself in good old fashioned work ethic. My clients have me 100 percent. While I’m working, I am not on my cell phone; I am not texting; and I am certainly not juggling two tasks at once. My clients have my undivided attention when I’m editing or presenting a talk.

But there is something else not many know about Pear Tree. Whoever hires me for my book editing/ghost writing services, gets free time for their birthdays and Christmas. Ask me about it when we work together! How old fashioned is that? I’d say it’s better than a baker’s dozen.

Last month I finished  “I Don’t Want to Be Like You,” which holds as strong anti-bullying message. And now am shopping it around to publishers. I’m also working on helping a man write his memoir, doing some writing for R&S Landscaping (newsletters and updating their FaceBook page) (https://www.rscape.com/), and continuing with bookings for my presentations (see below).

Pear Tree May 2018

 As Pear Tree enters its 10th year this summer, I’d like to talk a bit about dreams. Since starting this business, I’ve helped many people write their books prior to publication. So many said to me, “Thank you for making my dream come true.”

As I’ve helped others making their dreams come true, mine kept coming true as well. Another big one is on the horizon. June 9, I’ll be speaking to children and teens about anti-bullying at Montville High School’s amphitheater, followed by music from Montville School of Rock and other great surprises! This is truly a dream come true, as I’m now writing my fourth book, which has an anti-bullying theme. And I can now add “MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER” to my list of accomplishments!

The last words of David Cassidy are so profound, especially from a man who seemed to do everything but waste time. It’s a great reminder that we should all be living our lives to the fullest and doing what we love, every day, with people we respect.

It’s a pleasure and an honor to be on board with Tina and Joe Renna! I’m going on my third week now, and it’s the most wonderful thing, covering local events like Christmas tree lightings, Boy Scout events, and Christmas walks. Nothing beats being out in the fresh air and basking in the energy of happy children, taking their photos, and then writing about it! In the words of Joe Renna, “It’s not a job, it’s a lifestyle.” And what a great lifestyle it is!

Three-time Grammy Award-Winning Producer, Rob Fusari treated us to his edgy version of “Young Americans.” The audience was filled with over 50 people!

One of the many blessings of being self-employed is connecting with, as George Michael once said, “the kind of people that I like.” Whether it’s in the audience for a Learn & Listen series or someone I’m helping write a memoir, it’s just one of the precious things about my business that I never take for granted!
