“We can only reach the highest height, if we encourage each other.” — Lailah Gifty Akita, Pearls of Wisdom: Great Mind
Since so many people loved last month’s “friendship” theme, I decided to keep it going and share about another beautiful friend.
When my first book was published in 2014, I met Ashley at one of my book-signings. Even though I am 26 years older than her, we really hit it off and became great friends. Soon afterwards she invited me to read at an event she hosted to raise money for animals called Rock ‘n Paws. Ashley is such an incredible young lady — wise beyond her years and very loving. I was thrilled that she asked me to officiate her wedding to Mitchell Patino, September 24, 2016. All of their family and friends were the warmest people you’d ever want to meet. I am so honored to have Ashley in my life!❤
