Pear Tree June 2018

DSCF1566

Maryanne Christiano-Mistretta, proprietor of Pear Tree

“To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow” – Audrey Hepburn

People often ask me why I chose the name “Pear Tree” for my business. When coming up with a name, I figured The Beatles had success with Apple Records, so why not continue with the fruit theme. I also like the idea of something live, something delicious, and something that grows! All that sums up Pear Tree. It all started with a small vision 10 summers ago. I wanted to start my own home-based business working with people I like and doing things I love. Ten years later Pear Tree is still going strong. I’m doing more speaking engagements than ever; helping people write and edit their books prior to publication; and other freelance projects here and there. Life is good!

Would you like to book a program, or get help writing your book? Become part of the Pear Tree journey! Call 908-276-1514 during business hours of noon to 6 p.m.; or email maryannechristiano@gmail.com anytime!

Maryanne Christiano-Mistretta, proprietor of Pear Tree

“Trust in dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.” – Khalil Gibran

As Pear Tree enters its 10th year this summer, I’d like to talk a bit about dreams. Since starting this business, I’ve helped many people write their books prior to publication. So many said to me, “Thank you for making my dream come true.”

As I’ve helped others making their dreams come true, mine kept coming true as well. Another big one is on the horizon. June 9, I’ll be speaking to children and teens about anti-bullying at Montville High School’s amphitheater, followed by music from Montville School of Rock and other great surprises! This is truly a dream come true, as I’m now writing my fourth book, which has an anti-bullying theme. And I can now add “MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER” to my list of accomplishments!

Thanks to everyone who has had faith in my programs and book editing. Want to be a part of the Pear Tree journey? Call 908-276-1514 during business hours of noon to 6 p.m.; or email maryannechristiano@gmail.com anytime!

THE WIN!

The “WIN” is back! The win for May will be a Lucky Women’s Wallet of Prosperity!

To WIN this the wallet, send an email to maryannechristiano@gmail.com with the word “WIN” in the subject line; and answer this question: What is your biggest dream?

The winner’s words will be featured in the June installment of Pear Tree.

WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU?

Pear Tree February 2018

DSCF1247 - 2

Vocalist Charlie Fusari and Maryanne Christiano-Mistretta

“Please go for your dreams. Whatever your ideals, you can become whatever you want to become.” … Michael Jackson

Pear Tree’s “Learn & Listen” series kicked off the year right with a wonderful tribute to Michael Jackson at the Elmwood Park Public Library. We were so lucky to get Charlie Fusari to perform before he went back to college. It was a full house and we had a great time. It was super cool when Charlie dedicated “Ben” to me at the end of the show. Then he had an encore and performed one of his originals!

Meanwhile, I’m having a blast writing and editing for Renna Media (http://rennamedia.com/). I got to reconnect with Ty Stephens, who I interviewed back in my days at The Montclair Times. Check the website for the Chathams issue – Ty is on the front cover doing a workshop at the Chatham Playhouse. It was fun seeing Ty again.

Aside from the Learn & Listen series, Pear Tree is still going strong on a part-time basis with other lectures, book signings, and ghost writing/book editing.

Lately I’ve been helping a client edit her Christian blog, which is extremely inspiring. Perhaps I can help you too?

“So much wasted time.” – Last words of David Cassidy

The last words of David Cassidy are so profound, especially from a man who seemed to do everything but waste time. It’s a great reminder that we should all be living our lives to the fullest and doing what we love, every day, with people we respect.

Speaking of loving what we are doing, in addition to Pear Tree, I’m now working as writer and editor for Renna Media: http://rennamedia.com/

It’s a pleasure and an honor to be on board with Tina and Joe Renna! I’m going on my third week now, and it’s the most wonderful thing, covering local events like Christmas tree lightings, Boy Scout events, and Christmas walks. Nothing beats being out in the fresh air and basking in the energy of happy children, taking their photos, and then writing about it! In the words of Joe Renna, “It’s not a job, it’s a lifestyle.” And what a great lifestyle it is!

Meanwhile Pear Tree is still going strong on a part-time basis with many lectures, book signings, and ghost writing/book editing. There’s so much to do, with no time to waste! What can I do for you? Don’t let your dreams pass you by. Contact Maryanne Christiano-Mistretta today at: maryannechristiano@gmail.com
