When friends ask “How are you?” I can honestly say, “Living the dream.” Each day I’m doing something I love. Whether it’s writing, public speaking, cat sitting, or any of my other creative talents, the days are fast and fulfilling. When I wake up in the morning I wonder what kind of magic will happen today?

And, totally unrelated to business, it’s a dream come true to be in the new Ian Hunter video, “I Hate Hate.” You can check it out on You Tube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ju3LSY_TPo) I’m around 2:52.  Pear Tree’s “Learn and Listen Series” is certainly something library patrons have been wanting to hear, as the series continues to fill libraries to the brim!

Most recently, The Englewood Library, Englewood, NJ hosted “The Life and Music of Ella Fitzgerald” featuring Adrienne Asterita. Patrons were singing along and dancing, having a fabulous time. Prior to Adrienne’s performance, and the bio, I had the audience sing “Happy Birthday” to Ella, as she would have been 100 on April 25.

Pear Tree has a new addition to the “Learn & Listen Series” – Sammy Davis Jr.! Librarians, take note, you may want to add this wonderful program to your calendars!

This month I wanted to include the above photo of my very good friends Joan Brusco and Darlene Foster because they are people I’ve had the pleasure to work with as well. 

It’s been one year since Joan and I founded the non-profit animal rights group R.O.A.R: https://respectouranimalsrights.wordpress.com/

And Darlene and I have worked creatively together. Not only has she designed my two book covers, but it was six years ago that I modeled for some of her extraordinary photographs, which can be seen in her website in the Fine Art section under “Galleries.” http://www.darlenefoster.com/
